In Motion Chiropractic and Rehabilitation believes in the importance of identifying and removing any interference within the central nervous system in order to restore healthy bodily communication and promote lifelong wellness.
In 1895 Dr. Daniel David Palmer founded chiropractic care, and over 100 years later his concepts are still helping society achieve healthy nervous system function. The nervous system is responsible for coordinating all functions of the human body, so while many people may only consider the ramifications of spinal cord abnormalities local to the neck or lower back – there is so much more at stake. Organ function, inflammation, and immune system strength are all directly impacted by central nervous system function. So while more typical afflictions may include headaches, neck or lower back pain, and disk herniations – the central nervous system impacts everything we do as humans.
Dr. T is committed to evaluating each patient individually, locating the problem, and making appropriate adjustments to promote decreased pain and discomfort. Most patients experience quick, if not immediate, relief following care.
In Motion Chiropractic and Rehabilitation is an evidence-based practice. This means we rely on a variety of proven methods to help each patient achieve optimal results. Although Dr. T mainly practices using Diversified Technique, a hands-on approach to care, he is also trained in Graston Technique, the Gonstead technique, and additional upper cervical adjustment methods. Dr. T is heavily trained in these methods because it allows him to observe the patient and choose which path of correction is most suitable on a case-by-case basis.
While Gonstead technique is a manual adjustment that involves a precise thrust to encourage correction, Graston technique is instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy. Upper cervical adjustments are required the most focus and care, as they are specifically designed to correct subluxations in the uppermost region of the spine.
Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs) care for patients of all ages, with a variety of health conditions. They are especially well known for their expertise in caring for patients with back pain, neck pain and headaches using their highly skilled manipulations or chiropractic adjustments. DCs also care for patients with a wide range of injuries and disorders of the musculoskeletal system, which includes the muscles, ligaments and joints. These painful conditions may involve or impact the nervous system, which can cause referred pain and dysfunction distant to the region of injury. In addition, chiropractors offer advice to patients on diet, nutrition, exercise, healthy habits, and occupational and lifestyle modification.
Each of our techniques are used to better assist with certain types of injuries and will be explained to the patient when they come in for their initial exam and report of findings. Your health and comfort are our top priority.
